Exclusion List
Eleven categories of item Baltimore County bulk collection will not pick up — and the four limits that catch most people out.
Baltimore County's bulk item collection is genuinely useful and it's free. It's also narrow: two collections a year, three items each, on a date the county assigns you, set out at the curb by you. And there's a list of things it won't take at all.
Every item below is excluded from county bulk collection. If you've got one sitting in a garage or a back yard because nobody will haul it, this is why.
We take every item on that list. Most of them end up sitting in a garage or a back yard for years precisely because the free option won't touch them.
We'd rather tell you that than sell you a job you don't need. If you have three items or fewer, they're already at the curb, they're on the accepted list and you can wait for your date — that's a free service and you should use it. Check your collection date on the county's Bureau of Solid Waste pages or the mailer you were sent.
Call us when it's more than three items, sooner than your date, still inside the house, or on the list above.
Pianos, boats, pool tables, furnaces, gas tanks, tires, mirrors, glass, logs, anything over eight feet long and anything containing liquid are all excluded from bulk collection.
