Mattresses are the single most common thing people get stuck with. They don't fit in a car, most donation centres won't take them, and the county will only collect one as part of your three-item bulk allowance on an assigned date.
We take mattresses and box springs of any size, carry them out of the bedroom, and recycle the components where a facility is available.
The county collects bulk items twice a year, three items per collection, on a date it assigns you — and you have to carry everything to the curb yourself. It won't take pianos, pool tables, furnaces, tires, glass, anything over eight feet, or anything holding liquid, and the program only covers single-family homes and townhomes.
